St Giles' C of E Primary School

Welcome to St Giles' Primary School

OFSTED RESULTS

We are thrilled to share our recent Ofsted report with you!

Our school is set in the beautiful village of Great Maplestead and retains its original Victorian Character, being sympathetically extended to create modern facilities. The grounds have been enhanced through recent projects meaning that we have lovely outside spaces in which to play and learn.

The children at St. Giles’ are really supportive of one another and are encouraged to be full and active members of the school community. It is this ethos, underpinned by our Christian values that makes our school such a special place – vibrant, musical, creative and successful.

Our school community is a collaboration of children, staff, parents and governors, all working together to create an exciting and challenging learning environment. It is a place where history meets the technological age – our beautiful Victorian building houses a forward thinking and modern learning environment. Our outdoor spaces help us to take our learning beyond the classroom, all of which have been redeveloped over the last two years.

I am always delighted to welcome visitors to St Giles’.

The Chorus Schools’ Christian Vision

‘Do everything in Love’

1 Corinthians 16:14

At the Chorus Schools Federation, our belief in God’s love for everyone guides our thoughts, actions and words to support us all to thrive in every way. This means that we become robust and independent in our learning, able to persevere with courage and confidence, committed to caring for ourselves, for one another, and for our world.

The teachings of Paul in his letters to the Corinthians explains the nature of love; it is patient, kind, always protects, and always perseveres. Love never fails.

To; ‘Do everything in love’ 1 Corinthians 16:14 is his instruction to us and means to let love guide our thoughts, actions and words so that all can thrive.

God’s call to live a life marked by love is a consistent message found throughout scriptures.  These are the golden threads that weave through our work and are exemplified by our values – Love, Respect, Trust & Forgiveness within all our schools and beyond.
